A day of rest !!

We arrived in Rolim De Moura yesterday and it was a chance for me to catch up with my friend Emerson. He travelled to the UK as part of the exchange last year. We both share a passion for football! He speaks a bit of english and with my bit of portuguese we seem to be doing just fine. He has a lovely family and they have made me feel very welcome.
Today we had a leisurly breafast followed by a long lunch, a swim in someones pool and a bit of guitar playing, then dinner!  Its what bank holidays are all about> Brazil is still a very catholic contry ( although apparently on the decline ) and so easter weekend is celebrated. That means no work for the team for a couple of days and we can get some well earned rest. We were exhausted arriving here and it is a good chance to recharge the batteries before we begin our last week. The presentation last night was great and the District Governor was there also. Next stop Porto vehlo on Sunday night!

    1. Thanks Ray, we are all having an amazing time. Brazil is such an interesting country and it has been fantastic to learn from one another and share information about our different areas. I proudly showed the children in Giselle's school pictures of Birkenhead Park and pictures of my own school. I'm visiting 3 more schools today so am armed with plenty more photos to show!

    2. Hi Ursy
Just been looking at the latest Blog and noticed you had kindly posted this reply. I continue to be amazed at the experiences you are all having so deep into Brazil. I sit here with my atlas and identify where Porto Velho etc are !! Enjoy you final time there and we hope you all have a better journey home.
