The magical mystery tour continues !!

We arrived in Porto vehlo at about 5pm to be told that we would meet our host families and then get a shower and something to eat. Then at midnight we would board the overnight bus to Rolim de Moura, a NINE HOUR JOURNEY!!!  The bus station was madness and we were all tired so we did well to hold it together. The mix of Brazilian timekeeping and utter chaos is not a good mix and it does try your patience at times !!  Having said that the bus was really comfy and i slept the majority of the way as did the girls. The problem is the roads here are a mess. Hige potholes mean that the bus has to travel really slow at times. The scenery as the sun rose was beautiful!  green lush fields and jungle all around then small farms with cattle. As we past a small lake i could see a crocodile making its way through the water and some lovely birds. We arrived in RDM to find another set of hosts and the district Governor Arno Voigt. I was met by Emerson who was on the in coming team from last year and we went back to his house. Its a very nice house and i think i will enjoy the next few days in Rondonia.
